Regular Season Round 40: Mykolaiv - Cherkasy 94-81

Bottom-ranked Mykolaiv managed to get a seventh victory, breaking the seven-game losing streak. This time they won against eighth-ranked Cherkasy 94-81. The game was mostly controlled by Mykolaiv. Cherkasy was better in third quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mykolaiv players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Nathan Adrian (206-95, college: WVU, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import point guard Derrick Colter (180-94, college: Duquesne, agency: Players Group) contributed with 26 points and 7 assists for the winners. The former international forward Volodymyr Koniev (203-89) replied with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Cameron Young (195-96, college: Quinnipiac) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Cherkasy. Mykolaiv maintains eleventh position with 7-32 record. Cherkasy lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 24 games lost. Mykolaiv will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cherkasy will play at home against Odessa (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
