A very close game took place in Quakenbrueck between Artland Dragons and Rostock. Third ranked Artland Dragons (1-4) got a very close home victory over their close opponent Rostock (1-4). Artland Dragons managed to escape with a 1-point win 80-79 in the game for the third place. Artland Dragons made 22-of-17 free shots (129.4 percent) during the game. Naturalized American point guard Zachary Ensminger (195-1) stepped up and scored 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and center Robert Oehle (209-88) chipped in 10 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. Iranian Behnam Yakhchali (194-95, agency: BIG) responded with 16 points and 6 assists and American forward Keith Wright (203-89, college: Harvard) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Artland Dragons maintains third place in Group 1 with 1-4 record having just one point less than leader Heidelberg, which they share with defeated Rostock. It was Rostock's third loss in a row. Artland Dragons will meet league's second-placed Bayer Giants in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rostock will play against the league's leader Science City Jena and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
