We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Bonn where 12th ranked Skyliners (11-19) were defeated by thirteenth ranked Telekom Baskets (12-19) 85-73 on Friday. It was a great evening for Serbian Strahinja Micovic (205-92, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 rebounds. American swingman Chris Babb (196-90, college: Iowa St., agency: Wasserman) helped adding 15 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American guard Quantez Robertson (188-84, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Joe Rahon (188-93, college: St.Mary's, CA) scored 11 points and 8 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Telekom Baskets moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Bayreuth. Skyliners lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 19 games lost. Telekom Baskets will face league's leader EnBW Ludwigsburg on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Skyliners will play against EWE Baskets (#4) having rather not much hope for a victory.
