Second defeat of league's leader Science City Jena (4-2) against third ranked Rostock (2-4) 107-104 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Science City Jena. Rostock shot 63.2 percent from the field and made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 59.3 percentage. It was a good game for American point guard Chris Carter (193-92, college: Florida Tech) who led his team to a victory with 29 points and 8 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). The other American import guard Tyler Nelson (190-95, college: Fairfield) contributed with 18 points for the winners. American point guard Kasey Hill (185-93, college: Florida) replied with 20 points and 7 assists and naturalized Polish Dennis Nawrocki (192-92) added 18 points in the effort for Science City Jena. Five Rostock and four Science City Jena players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rostock maintains third position with 2-4 record behind leader Bayer Giants. Science City Jena at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Bayer Giants.
