Second Stage Round 6: Bayer Giants - Art.Dragons 80-65

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Bayer Giants as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Bayer Giants defeated 4th ranked Artland Dragons in Leverkusen 80-65. Sheldon Eberhardt (196-95, college: Elon) scored 20 points to lead the charge for the winners and center Dennis Heinzmann (216-91) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American Gerel Simmons (188-93, college: LMU) with 22 points and 5 rebounds and Leon Okpara (194-98) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Artland Dragons at the other side keep the fourth place with five games lost.
