We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked Dinamo B. (10-13) lost to ninth ranked Galati (11-13) in Bucuresti 76-85 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-76. Galati made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Dinamo B. turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Croatian swingman Davor Konjevic (198-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) who led the winners and scored 22 points. American guard Drew Brandon (193-92, college: EWU) accounted for 9 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Galati players scored in double figures. American point guard Armin Cane (188-93, college: Stockton, agency: Blacktop Management) came up with 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Isaiah Armwood (206-90, college: GWU) added 12 points respectively for Dinamo B. in the defeat. Dinamo B.'s coach Hristu Sapera rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Galati. They moved-up to eighth place. Dinamo B. lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Galati will meet league's second-placed Oradea on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dinamo B. will play against Pitesti (#4) and hope to secure a win.
