Regular Season Round 36: Prienai CBet - Zalgiris 81-101

LKL top team - Zalgiris (33-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Prienai CBet (14-22) 101-81. The game without a history. Zalgiris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The winners were led by the former international guard Marius Grigonis (198-94) who scored that evening 26 points (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!) and French center Joffrey Lauvergne (211-91, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 14 points and 8 assists by Belgian point guard Emmanuel Lecomte (180-95, college: Baylor) did not help to save the game for Prienai CBet. Center Martynas Pacevicius (204-97, agency: Octagon Europe) added 15 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Four Prienai CBet players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zalgiris have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 33-3 record. Prienai CBet at the other side keeps the fifth place with 22 games lost. They share the position with Neptunas.
