Regular Season Round 30: Manisa - Balikesir 83-85

A very interesting game took place in Manisa. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 6th ranked Manisa (17-13) to ninth ranked Balikesir (17-13) 85-83 in the fight for the sixth place. Balikesir made 27-of-34 charity shots (79.4 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Manisa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Bahamas center Zane Knowles (208-92, college: TAMUCC, agency: BIG) notched 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and American point guard Myles Mack (178-93, college: Rutgers) supported him with 16 points and 8 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Even a double-double of 11 points and 12 assists by American guard Marcus Hall (185-85, college: Colorado, agency: SDJ Sports) did not help to save the game for Manisa. Guard Recep Dogrusoz (192-86) added 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Balikesir moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Manisa. Manisa lost fourth consecutive game.
