Giessen Pointers used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Kronberg 85-82 on Sunday night. They outrebounded Kronberg 41-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. American guard Christopher Miller (192-93, college: Salem) nailed 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and point guard Paul Carl (185-2) accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four Giessen Pointers players scored in double figures. Giessen Pointers' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Ben Karbe (202-2) came up with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Noah Litzbach (196-0) added 18 points respectively for Kronberg in the defeat. Giessen Pointers will meet Ludwigsburg on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kronberg will play against Fellbach and hope to win that game.
