EnBW Ludwigsburg used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Hamburg 88-87 on Saturday night. EnBW Ludwigsburg outrebounded Hamburg Towers 37-20 including 22 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American swingman Tremmell Darden (194-81, college: Niagara) stepped up and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and his fellow American import guard Jonah Radebaugh (190-97, college: N.Colorado) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side American point guard Jaylon Brown (183-94, college: Evansville) responded with 24 points and international point guard Justus Hollatz (191-1, agency: BeoBasket) scored 8 points and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. EnBW Ludwigsburg will meet MLP Academics Heidelberg on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hamburg Towers will play against Chemnitz and hope to win that game.
