Not a big story in a game when Hamburg Towers lost at home to Chemnitz 90-82 on Wednesday. Chemnitz made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Hamburg Towers turnovers. American forward Darion Atkins (203-92, college: Virginia) notched 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Nelson Weidemann (190-99) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five Chemnitz players scored in double figures. Even 22 points by American swingman Caleb Homesley (198-96, college: Liberty) did not help to save the game for Hamburg Towers. Estonian center Maik-Kalev Kotsar (211-96, college: S.Carolina) added 10 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts.
