The most surprising game was a loss of Cuxhaven (2-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by Bergedorf (1-2) 76-73. Bergedorf forced 19 Cuxhaven turnovers. It was a great evening for Aleksandar Postic (195-0) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 6 rebounds. Alonzo Bakija (196-2) helped adding 17 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Desmond Ringer (206-94, college: Mercer) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Menno Moeller (187-0) scored 11 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cuxhaven's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Bergedorf is looking forward to face Westerstede at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cuxhaven will play against Vechta-2 and is hoping to win this game.
