Regular Season Round 3: Limburg - Tuebingen 2 86-66

There was a surprise result when Limburg (1-2) smashed at home Tuebingen 2 (1-2) 86-66 on Saturday. Limburg dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tuebingen 2's 28. They outrebounded Tuebingen 2 43-23 including a 35-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Limburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward KJ Sherrill (203-91, college: Augusta) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds. Noah Westerhaus (200-98, agency: Gamble Sports Management) chipped in 23 points. Four Limburg players scored in double figures. Limburg's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Nico Hihn who recorded 25 points and 4 steals and Joshua Schwaibold added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Limburg will meet Kronberg (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tuebingen 2 will play against Ulm BBU 01 and hope to win that game.
