Regular Season Round 2: Galatasaray - Darussafaka 101-107

There was a minor upset when Galatasaray lost to Dacka in Istanbul 101-107 on Saturday. Dacka dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Galatasaray's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American point guard Troy Caupain (193-95, college: Cincinnati, agency: Octagon Europe) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the effort and international point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-96) supported him with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals. Even 20 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists by American-Bulgarian point guard Dee Bost (188-89, college: MSU) did not help to save the game for Galatasaray. American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-97, college: Florida) added 24 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts. Five Dacka and four Galatasaray players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dacka will meet at home Tofas in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Galatasaray will play against Socar Petkim and hope to win that game.
