Regular Season Round 3: Grevenbroich - Bonn 2 97-99

Very predictable result when Bonn 2 (2-0) edged on the road Grevenbroich (0-1) 99-97 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American guard Matt Frierson (189-97, college: Citadel) who scored 37 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Shaquille Rombley (203, college: LMU) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard John Murry (192-95, college: Austin Peay) who recorded 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists and Marc Rass (182-87) added 26 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Bonn 2 will meet at home Herford (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Grevenbroich will play against Hamm (#14) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
