Regular Season Round 3: Reutlingen - Saarlouis 103-100

There was a minor upset when Saarlouis (2-1) were edged on the road by Reutlingen (2-0) 103-100 on Saturday. Reutlingen made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Saarlouis turnovers and outrebounded them 34-19 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American power forward Nick Mosley (203-88, college: Tarleton St.) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Bosnian point guard Damir Dronjic (188-89) chipped in 22 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Ricky Easterling (189-83, college: Bridgewater) who recorded 28 points and the other American import guard TJ Lang (201-95, college: S.Florida) added 25 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Reutlingen will meet Mannheim on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Saarlouis will play against Kaiserslautern and hope to secure a win.
