But Yalova was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Gaziantep 93-89 on Sunday night. Gaziantep outrebounded Yalova 50-24 including a 26-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. American Jarmar Gulley (196-91, college: Missouri St.) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and the other American import point guard QJ Peterson (183-94, college: VMI) supported him with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Gaziantep's coach Tutku Acik used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 24 points and 7 assists by American point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: EKU) did not help to save the game for Yalova. The former international guard Can Altintig (195-87) added 15 points and 6 assists for the hosts. Four Yalova players scored in double figures. Gaziantep will meet at home Merkezefendi in the next round. Yalova will play against Afyon Bld and hope to win that game.
