Regular Season Round 3: Krivbas - Kyiv Basket 88-85

Kyiv Basket (2-1) recorded a loss in Kryvyi Rih. Visitors were edged by Krivbas (2-1) 88-85. The hosts were ahead by 1 point but lost the second period ending it with a 14-point deficit before their 26-12 run, which allowed them to win the game. Krivbas made 21-of-26 charity shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a good game for American guard Zach Copeland (193-97, college: Illinois St.) who led his team to a victory with 46 points (!!!) and 4 steals (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). International center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-94, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. American point guard Avery Woodson (188-93, college: Butler) answered with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Bernard Thompson (191-93, college: FGCU) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kyiv Basket. Four Kyiv Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Krivbas will play against Odessa (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kyiv Basket will play against K.Sokoly (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
