Regular Season Round 1: Gargzdu - Silute 77-73

Gargzdu used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Silute 77-73 on Thursday night. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Gargzdu made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Point guard Mindaugas Stasys (179-86) fired 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Mantas Ruikis (197-85) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Linas Lekavicius (185-84, college: American) produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and the former international center Valdas Vasylius (202-83, college: ODU) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Four Gargzdu and five Silute players scored in double figures. Gargzdu will meet Kretinga on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Silute will play against Telsiai and hope to win that game.
