A very close game took place in Izmir between Botas GA and Urla. Botas GA got a very close victory on the road over Urla. Botas GA managed to escape with a 3-point win 58-55 on Friday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Ronahi Kiran (-0) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and Ukrainian center Olena Stashchuk (192-85) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Botas GA's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Dilek Topdemir (-92) responded with 14 points and 7 assists and American center Shalaunda Burney-Robinson (193, college: FAMU) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Botas GA will meet at home Rize in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Urla will play against Yalova Vip and hope to win that game.
