Not a big story in a game in Giessen where 46ers (1-2) were defeated by MLP Academics Heidelberg (3-0) 75-68 on Saturday. MLP Academics Heidelberg made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Jordan Geist (188-97, college: Missouri, agency: Inception Sports) who scored 28 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Robert Lowery (188-87, college: Dayton) chipped in 14 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Brayon Blake (201-95, college: Idaho) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds and American-South Sudanese Nuni Omot (206-94, college: Baylor) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four 46ers players scored in double figures. 46ers' coach tested twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. MLP Academics Heidelberg will meet Brose Bamberg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. 46ers will play against Bayern Muenchen (#7) and hope to win that game.
