Regular Season Round 3: Chemnitz - Bayreuth 72-86

The most surprising game was a loss of Chemnitz (2-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Bayreuth (1-1) 86-72. Bayreuth forced 20 Chemnitz turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. It was a great evening for American swingman Sacar Anim (196-97, college: Marquette) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points. His fellow American import forward Terry Allen (203-93, college: Richmond) helped adding 15 points. The best for the losing side was American guard Gerald Robinson (185-89, college: Georgia) with 11 points and 8 assists and Canadian forward Isiaha Mike (203-97, college: SMU) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Bayreuth and five Chemnitz players scored in double figures. Chemnitz's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bayreuth is looking forward to face Hamburg Towers (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Chemnitz will play against Braunschweig (#13) and is hoping to win this game.
