Undefeated Rist Wedel (2-1) recorded its first loss in Koeln. Visitors were edged by eleventh ranked Rhein Stars (1-2) 72-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rist Wedel. Rhein Stars made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Vincent Golson Jr (173-94, college: CSUDH) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 assists and Thomas Michel (200-95) who added 11 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Jordan Walker (184-97, college: Morehead St.) responded with 23 points and Linus Hoffmann (199-2) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rhein Stars left bottom position moving up to seventh place in South, which they share with 3 other teams. Rist Wedel at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with TKS 49ers and BSW Sixers. Rhein Stars will play against higher ranked TKS 49ers (#5) in Stahnsdorf in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Rist Wedel will play at home against the league's second-placed Muenster having rather not much hope for a victory.
