Regular Season Round 3: Petkim - Galatasaray 81-95

Very expected game when Socar Petkim (0-3) was defeated at home by Galatasaray (2-1) 95-81 on Saturday. Galatasaray looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-97, college: Florida) who scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Melo Trimble (190-95, college: Maryland, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 14 points and 8 assists. Five Galatasaray players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Puerto Rican point guard Gary Browne (185-93, college: WVU) who recorded 26 points and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and American Peyton Aldridge (203-95, college: Davidson) added 6 points and 16 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Galatasaray's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Acibadem.
