They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Robin Christen (202-91) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American point guard Jabril Durham (185-94, college: Arkansas) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 assists and 8 steals. Four Hamburg Towers players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Quantez Robertson (188-84, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 17 points and 7 rebounds and Lorenz Brenneke (206-0) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hamburg Towers will meet at home Bayreuth (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Skyliners will play against Telekom Baskets (#3) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
