No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Loewen (2-1) beat bottom-ranked Rackelos (0-3) in Erfurt 83-79 on Sunday. Loewen made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by Ivorian-French swingman Guy Landry Edi (202-88, college: Gonzaga) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds and American Tyseem Lyles (185-92, college: Mercy) supported him with 23 points. Even 17 points and 7 rebounds by the former international Johannes Lischka (203-87) did not help to save the game for Rackelos. American Kienan Walter (206-97, college: N.Dakota) added 14 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Four Rackelos players scored in double figures. Loewen moved-up to fifth place in North. Loser Rackelos still closes the standings with three games lost. Loewen will meet Coburg (#7) on the road in the next round. Rackelos will play against the league's second-placed Koblenz (#2) and hope to get finally their first victory.
