The game between closely ranked teams ended with Illiabum's road loss to Vitoria SC 62-88 on Sunday. Vitoria SC dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Illiabum's 26. They outrebounded Illiabum 44-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. Vitoria SC looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Australian Matthew McCarthy (205-96, college: USF) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. American point guard Malcolm Drumwright (188-95, college: JSU) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Vitoria SC players scored in double figures. American guard Montell Goodwin (188-95, college: EIU) produced 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import forward Jaylen Key (203-97, college: New Orleans, agency: One Motive Sports) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vitoria SC will meet Lusitania in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Illiabum will play against Imortal and hope to win that game.
