Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked TSV 1880 and bottom-ranked Saarlouis had identical 0-3 record. But Saarlouis were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Wasserburg 83-71 on Sunday night. TSV 1880 outrebounded Saarlouis 41-23 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Canadian forward Mikayla Williams (183, college: USF) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American Leah Scott (183-93, college: Marshall) produced 19 points and Finnish power forward Maria Aijanen (187-95) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. TSV 1880 (1-3) left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with Duesseldorf. It was Saarlouis' fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Halle and Heidelberg. TSV 1880 will meet higher ranked Herner (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Saarlouis will play against Goettingen (#5) and look forward to get finally their first victory.
