Regular Season Round 2: Mersin BBGSK - TED Ankara 92-86

There was no surprise when TED Ankara was defeated on the road by Mersin BBGSK 92-86 on Monday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Mersin BBGSK looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard TJ Washington (183-20, college: Utah Valley) who scored 32 points and 9 assists. The other American import center Jamelle Hagins (206-90, college: Delaware, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Keshun Sherrill (175-94, college: Augusta, agency: Interperformances) produced 32 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and guard Dogukan Sanli (191-95) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. TED Ankara's coach Emrah Benli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mersin BBGSK will meet OGM Orman in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TED Ankara will play against Bornova and hope to win that game.
