There was a surprise result in Ankara where eleventh ranked Turk Telekom (2-2) beat higher ranked Dacka (2-2) 59-46 on Saturday. They outrebounded Dacka 40-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Octavius Ellis (208-93, college: Cincinnati, agency: Network Sports International) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 11 rebounds and Mexican point guard Alexander Perez-Kaufmann (191-93) who added 12 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Troy Caupain (193-95, college: Cincinnati, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 11 points and international point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-96) scored 2 points and 9 rebounds. Dacka's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Turk Telekom moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Dacka. Turk Telekom will meet bottom-ranked Socar Petkim (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dacka will play against Buyukcekmece (#14) and hope to secure a win.
