Regular Season Round 4: Goettingen - Ludwigsburg 78-69

We should mention about the upset which took place in Goettingen, where higher ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (2-2) lost to ninth ranked BG Goettingen (2-1) in a road game 69-78 on Saturday. BG Goettingen made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for BG Goettingen especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. The game was also dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Kamar Baldwin (185-97, college: Butler) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and swingman Jake Toolson (196-96, college: BYU) who added 20 points during the contest. At the losing side swingman Tremmell Darden (194-81, college: Niagara) responded with 10 points and 9 rebounds and Rawle Alkins (198-97, college: Arizona) scored 14 points. Four EnBW Ludwigsburg players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BG Goettingen moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Bayern. Loser EnBW Ludwigsburg dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. BG Goettingen will meet ALBA Berlin (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against Telekom Baskets and hope to secure a win.
