The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Eagles (2-1) in Itzehoe on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by eighth ranked Walter Tigers (3-2) 96-62. American Christopher Hooper (198-91, college: SFC) responded with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and center Yasin Kolo (208-92, college: Bellarmine) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Eagles' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Walter Tigers moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Rostock. Newly promoted Eagles dropped to the seventh position with one game lost. Walter Tigers is looking forward to face higher ranked Leverkusen (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Eagles will play against Lions (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
