Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Leverkusen (4-1) outscored at home 15th ranked Artland Dragons (1-3) 97-78 on Saturday. Leverkusen looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Spencer Reaves (191-95, college: Central Mo., agency: One Motive Sports) who scored 28 points and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Center Dennis Heinzmann (216-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds. Five Leverkusen players scored in double figures. Czech center Adam Pechacek (206-95) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized American point guard Zachary Ensminger (195-1) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Leverkusen keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams.
