Regular Season Round 4: Craiova - Galati 72-61

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Galati (0-2) was defeated on the road by top-ranked Craiova (3-0) 72-61 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Michael Qualls (197-94, college: Arkansas, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and the other American import forward Josh Hawley (201-96, college: Tarleton St.) who added 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Craiova's coach Michalis Kakiouzis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American guard Kareem Brewton Jr (190, college: Memphis, agency: 011 Sports) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and the former international Marius Ciotlaus (195-96, agency: BIG) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Galati players scored in double figures. Craiova have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Constanta. Loser Galati still closes the standings with two games lost. Craiova will meet Rapid (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Galati will play against Oradea and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
