Undefeated leader Zalgiris delivered the sixth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 7th ranked Siauliai (2-3) 97-64. They outrebounded Siauliai 39-22 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Zalgiris players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Tyler Cavanaugh (206-94, college: GWU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Josh Nebo (206-97, college: Texas A&M) contributed with 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Zalgiris' coach Jure Zdovc felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Donatas Sabeckis (197-92) answered with 7 points and 7 assists and American guard Jon Elmore (190-95, college: Marshall) added 16 points in the effort for Siauliai. Zalgiris (6-0) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row. Siauliai at the other side keeps the seventh position with three games lost. Zalgiris will play against Nevezis (#8) in Kedainiai in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
