Hatay shot 60.3 percent from the field and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Hatay outrebounded Elazig 36-25 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international forward Bahar Caglar (190-88) nailed 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and American point guard Aaryn Ellenberg-Wiley (167-92, college: Oklahoma) accounted for 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Hatay players scored in double figures. Hatay's coach Ekin Bas felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Kolby Morgan (173-96, college: Tulane) came up with 20 points and 4 assists and the former international center Melike Yalcinkaya (189-93) added 4 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Elazig in the defeat. Hatay will meet at home Bursa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Elazig will play against Nesibe in Ankara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
