The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Khmelnytskyi as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Prometey-2) loss. Khmelnytskyi defeated 4th ranked BIPA O. at home 102-94. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Khmelnytskyi made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 BIPA O. turnovers. Strangely BIPA O. outrebounded Khmelnytskyi 45-27 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Guard Nikola Polyulyak (192-90) notched 19 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and swingman Maksym Ozhegov (195-90, agency: BIG) supported him with 24 points. Even a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds by forward Evgeni Tkachenko (203-83) did not help to save the game for BIPA O.. Forward Vladyslav Mustiatsa (196-2) added 22 points. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Khmelnytskyi have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Stariy Lutsk. BIPA O. at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams.
