The biggest surprise took place in Istanbul where host Fenerbahce (4-0) crushed league's leader Efes (3-1) 90-68 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Efes. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Fenerbahce dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Efes' 24. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. French guard Nando De Colo (196-87) fired 13 points and 9 assists for the winners. American center Devin Booker (205-91, college: Clemson) chipped in 15 points. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. French Rodrigue Beaubois (190-88, agency: BeoBasket) produced 20 points and Armenian-American center Bryant Dunston (203-86) added 6 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fenerbahce have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Defending champion Efes dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. They were replaced at the leadership position by Fenerbahce. Efes will play next round against Galatasaray trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul - Galatasaray. Fenerbahce will try to continue on its current victory against fifteenth ranked Bursaspor on the road.
