Regular Season Round 3: VKKM - Tornado KM 94-78

Not a big story in a game in Vilniaus where Tornado KM (1-2) was defeated by VKKM (3-0) 94-78. The game was mostly controlled by VKKM. Tornado KM was better in second period 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. VKKM players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Arnas Knystautas (186-4) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 7 assists. Kristupas Keinys (199-4) accounted for 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Five VKKM players scored in double figures. Nojus Adomavicius (189-4) came up with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Zilvinas Rusys (170-4) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Tornado KM in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. VKKM will play against Saule (#11) in Siauliai in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tornado KM will play at home against RasKKSC (#10) to get more than just one victory in their record.
