The biggest surprise of round 1 in U19 League took place in Bursa where host Bursaspor edged Petkim Spor 74-72 on Friday evening. Bursaspor forced 19 Petkim Spor turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Petkim Spor helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Ata Sevilmis (-3) fired 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Orcun Evsen (-4) chipped in 12 points. Gokay Hacioglu (-2) produced a double-double by scoring 31 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks and Murat Tor (-3) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Petkim Spor will play next round against Turk Telekom trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Bursaspor will try to continue on its current victory against TAC NEF in Tarsus.
