The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Edremit (2-1) in Balikesir on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Botas GA (3-0) 69-54. Botas GA outrebounded Edremit 38-26 including a 14-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Ukrainian center Olena Stashchuk (192-85) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Saliha Mandiraci (169-2) helped adding 20 points and 9 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Mikayla Cowling (188-96, college: California, agency: LBM Management) with 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Ebru Torun (175-87) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Botas GA is looking forward to face Bodrum (#15) in Mugla in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Edremit will play on the road against Yalova Vip (#9) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
