Regular Season Round 6: Langen - Giessen 75-70

There was an upset when higher ranked Giessen Pointers (4-2) were defeated on the road by eleventh ranked TV Langen (2-3) 75-70 on Saturday. TV Langen looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Center Tobias Jahn (204-86, college: CPP) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Sebastian Barth (193-85) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists during the contest. Five TV Langen players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Christoph Kenntemich (174-97) with 20 points and American guard Christopher Miller (192-93, college: Salem) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. TV Langen moved-up to ninth place in South West. Loser Giessen Pointers dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Tuebingen 2. TV Langen will meet at home higher ranked Idstein in the next round. Giessen Pointers will play against Limburg (#10) and hope to secure a win.
