No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Saarlouis (4-1) defeated at home 10th ranked Ludwigsburg (1-3) 91-87 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Saarlouis dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Ludwigsburg's 32 and made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Saarlouis had a 41-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard TJ Lang (201-95, college: S.Florida) had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Bosnian center Muharem Mujkanovic (204-88) chipped in 20 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Lang is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. The best for the losing side was BGRn Emmanuel Ugbo (200-3) with 22 points and 9 rebounds and center Eduard Roschnafsky (210-3) scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Four Saarlouis and five Ludwigsburg players scored in double figures. Saarlouis moved-up to third place in South West. Loser Ludwigsburg dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. Saarlouis will meet league's second-placed Stuttgart on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ludwigsburg will play against Mannheim (#7) and hope to win that game.
