We should mention about the upset which took place in Randers, where 4th placed Wolfpack (2-4) was outleveled in a road game by ninth ranked Randers (2-2) 88-64 on Saturday. Randers forced 27 Wolfpack turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Randers made 7 blocks. American forward Brantley Bynum (196-94, college: SF State) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import guard Trey Phills (188-96, college: Yale) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists. Four Randers players scored in double figures. Forward Leonardo Carlino (198-0) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Montenegrin point guard Danijel Marsenic (184-1) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Randers moved-up to fourth place, which they share with BAC. Loser Wolfpack dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Copenhagen. Randers will meet Horsens IC (#6) on the road in the next round. Wolfpack will play against BAC and hope to secure a win.
