Gaziantep used a home court advantage and edged the opponent from Tesvikiye 72-70 on Saturday night. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Gaziantep dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Tesvikiye's 26. Gaziantep forced 24 Tesvikiye turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Koray Cekici (186-2) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and Ibrahim Yilmaz (-5) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists. At the losing side Utku Pelit (-3) responded with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Kaan Onkardes (-3) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Gaziantep will meet Pinar Karsiyaka on the road in the next round. Tesvikiye will play against Tofas and hope to win that game.
