Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked ETB Miners and 11th ranked Hagen BG had identical 1-3 record. But Hagen BG was not able to use a home court advantage and was outscored by the opponent from Essen 98-78 on Saturday night. ETB Miners outrebounded Hagen BG 35-18 including 24 on the defensive glass. Loser Hagen BG keeps the eleventh position with four games lost. They share it with Dorsten and Hamm. ETB Miners will meet higher ranked Hertener Loewen (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hagen BG will play against the league's second-placed Deutzer (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
