Rather predictable result when ninth ranked BG Goettingen (2-1) won against on the road 12th ranked ALBA Berlin (2-2) 65-59 on Sunday. BG Goettingen had a 33-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Kamar Baldwin (185-97, college: Butler) nailed 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard Stephen Brown Jr (180-96, college: Bucknell) accounted for 14 points. Naturalized Brazilian Oscar Da Silva (206-98, college: Stanford) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Malte Delow (198-1) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for ALBA Berlin in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BG Goettingen moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Bayern. Defending champion ALBA Berlin dropped to the ninth position with two games lost. They share it with Ludwigsburg and Ulm. BG Goettingen will meet at home EWE Baskets (#17) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ALBA Berlin will play against the league's leader Brose Bamberg (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
