Very expected game when bottom-ranked Skyliners (0-4) were smashed by eleventh ranked Bayern Muenchen (2-1) in Frankfurt 78-50 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for Bayern Muenchen especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Naturalized American center Gavin Schilling (206-95, college: Michigan St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and naturalized Bosnian Nihad Djedovic (197-90, agency: BeoBasket) accounted for 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Bayern Muenchen players scored in double figures. Bayern Muenchen's coach Andrea Trinchieri felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Senegalese guard El Hadji Badio (188-99) came up with 20 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Lorenz Brenneke (206-0) added 4 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Skyliners in the defeat. Bayern Muenchen moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Goettingen. Loser Skyliners still closes the standings with four games lost. Bayern Muenchen will meet Bayreuth (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Skyliners will play against ratiopharm Ulm and hope to get finally their first victory.
