Sibiu's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they edged much higher ranked Voluntari (2-1) 86-83. Voluntari was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 43-38 second half run of Sibiu. They made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. American Monyea Pratt (196-85, college: Stillman) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and international point guard Lucas Tohatan (187-99) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. The former international Vlad Moldoveanu (206-88, college: American) responded with 21 points and Lithuanian point guard Sarunas Vasiliauskas (188-89) scored 12 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Four Sibiu and five Voluntari players scored in double figures. Voluntari's coach Sasa Ocokoljic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sibiu (1-4) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with Dinamo B. and Focsani. Voluntari at the other side keeps the ninth position with one game lost. Sibiu will play against Dinamo B. (#11) in Bucuresti in the next round. Voluntari will play at home against Galati and hopes to get back on the winning track.
