Regular Season Round 6: Freiburg - Keltern 80-75

Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Keltern (3-3) was defeated on the road by third ranked Freiburg (5-1) 80-75 on Sunday. Freiburg dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Keltern's 30. They outrebounded Keltern 40-25 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Japanese point guard Shiori Yasuma (162-94) who had a triple-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Forward Emilly Kapitza (188-0) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Polish Agnieszka Skobel (180-89) who recorded 17 points and 4 steals and Bosnian-Croatian guard Matea Tavic (178-92) added 12 points respectively. Five Keltern players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Freiburg moved-up to second place, which they share with Hannover. Keltern lost third consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Noerdlingen. Freiburg will meet league's leader Rheinland in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Keltern will play against Goettingen (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
